Frequently asked questions
- Is my resume uploaded anywhere?
- No. Everything happens in your browser. The draft is kept in this browser’s local storage so it is still there when you come back, and nothing is transmitted to us or anyone else.
- How do I get a PDF?
- Press "Download PDF". Your browser opens its print dialog — choose "Save as PDF" as the destination. The page size is already set to whatever you picked, A4 or Letter, and the margins come from the template, so leave the dialog’s own margin setting on Default.
- Will it pass an applicant tracking system?
- It should. The PDF is real selectable text in a single column with ordinary headings, which is what parsers cope with best. There are no tables, no text boxes and no two-column layout for a parser to read in the wrong order.
- Can I move my draft to another computer?
- Yes. "Save a copy" downloads a small .json file with everything in it, and "Load a copy" reads it back on the other machine. That file is also a decent backup before a big rewrite.
- Can I keep more than one version?
- The browser holds one working draft. Save a copy for each tailored version — one per role you are applying for — and load whichever you want to edit.
- Is it really free?
